I am looking to download a copy of Wheezy for a project at work, I need to confirm that the OS being used in the current PI's will not let me install what I need. Does anyone know where I can download it or do I have to buy a preinstalled card and if so where can i find one at a reputable seller.
Thanks

What do you need that Jessie doesn't have?

I have an .img file that I need to install to some SD cards to create a camera system, the one I tried with wheezy works but the ones I have tried with Jesse don't. I lost my card with Wheezy so I am going to get a new one to either confirm or debunk that this is the issue, trying to root it out.
Thanks

The last Wheezy .IMG was released 11 months ago, so is not compatable with Zero or 3B as is: http://downloads.raspberrypi.org/raspbi ... 2015-05-07

Thanks for re-activating a dead post. @Texy posted the same info more than 2 years ago (see above)

I can find nothing wrong with adding new information to an old thread. On other platforms you even get awards for doing so (e.g., excavator badge on SO). Technically, Dirk added new information as his link is different from the link you are referencing.

Now back to the topic. By the way, I found my way here through googling for "raspbian old version".

I have to admit that I was confused by the naming of images on http://downloads.raspberrypi.org/ as I expected them to have names according to a version scheme (e.g. 12.10). Instead, they are given certain dates. And dates in folders names do not always match dates in image names.

Only after I found this list on wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raspberry ... on_history I could make sense of the dates. The date encoded in the folder name is the "release date" and the date encoded in the image name is the "release name".

Hope that helps others to find their image version, too.
