A glitch on my Pi1 led me to download anew. The results:
1) NOOBS.zip completed download but would not open in Win7 so I used 7-Zip which reported an error in root.
2) NOOBS lite completed and opened in Win7 so I ran it in Pi1 and it worked but did nothing except ask to be hooked to a network cable. No WiFi either.
3) Jessie lite completed but would not open in Win7 and same error appeared after checking 7-Zip's CRC 32 function.

With two distinct download failures of different files reporting the same error, could it be an error in the Jessie files? What to do now? Thanks.

I downloaded all four current releases (Jessie + lite, Noobs + lite) earlier this week and have not had any problems with them.
Have you checked the SHA1 of the downloaded zip files?

Thanks. SHA-1 does not match on NOOBS so I'll download again.
