raspberry pi 2 is out since 1 year
probably an arm v7 version of raspbian use the better hw of pi2
is there an ETA for it ? or newer versions still compile for arm v6 ?
This was discussed at the time of RPi 2B release and it was found that the slight benefits of having a specific ARMv7 .IMG did not outway the issue of creating and testing 2 x .IMG's everytime there were changes made.welverin wrote:raspberry pi 2 is out since 1 year

This has been discussed a lot of times. Only a very small fraction of all programs will really profit from specialized ARMv7 code. I've compiled a number of packages for ARMv7 with NEON support, but could not really get better performance for most.welverin wrote:raspberry pi 2 is out since 1 year
