it's time for armV7 version ?

raspberry pi 2 is out since 1 year
probably an arm v7 version of raspbian use the better hw of pi2

is there an ETA for it ? or newer versions still compile for arm v6 ?

This was discussed at the time of RPi 2B release and it was found that the slight benefits of having a specific ARMv7 .IMG did not outway the issue of creating and testing 2 x .IMG's everytime there were changes made.

This has been discussed a lot of times. Only a very small fraction of all programs will really profit from specialized ARMv7 code. I've compiled a number of packages for ARMv7 with NEON support, but could not really get better performance for most.

Note that if you want an armV7 specific OS, there are options.

E.g., Ubuntu Mate.

And note that there are advantages to going this route. But, as noted in this thread, it doesn't make sense to do it for the mainline Raspbian.
