Linux Headers for kernel 4.1.6-v7 for 8188eu chipset

Wed Aug 19, 2015 4:16 am

Hi to all, I am trying to compile the driver for the chipset 8188eu (WiFi dongle) for my Rpi B 2, the uname -a show this:

Code: Select all

uname -a
Linux raspberrypi 4.1.6-v7+ #810 SMP PREEMPT Tue Aug 18 15:32:12 BST 2015 armv7l GNU/Linux
The only missed part for compile the driver ( https://github.com/lwfinger/rtl8188eu ) is the linux headers for my versión of kernel 4.1.6-v7.

Where I can locate the linux headers for 4.1.6-v7 ARM?

Thanks for the attention, have a nice day.

Posdata: I tried with the headers for 3.2.0-4-rpi via apt-get install linux-headers-rpi and symbolic link and don't work.

It would be more appropriate to post at the end of this long post as drivers for latest Kernel are being compiled:

Sorry guys, I'm confused....
I'm trying to install kernel module "hello world".
My kernel is 4.1.13-v7+ (I suppose there is also newer version).
It's said to install headers, but when trying to do this I can only find:

linux-headers-3.10-3-all linux-headers-3.12-1-rpi linux-headers-3.2.0-4-all-armhf
linux-headers-3.10-3-all-armhf linux-headers-3.18.0-trunk-all linux-headers-3.2.0-4-common
linux-headers-3.10-3-common linux-headers-3.18.0-trunk-all-armhf linux-headers-3.2.0-4-rpi
linux-headers-3.10-3-rpi linux-headers-3.18.0-trunk-common linux-headers-3.6-trunk-all
linux-headers-3.12-1-all linux-headers-3.18.0-trunk-rpi linux-headers-3.6-trunk-all-armhf
linux-headers-3.12-1-all-armhf linux-headers-3.18.0-trunk-rpi2 linux-headers-3.6-trunk-common
linux-headers-3.12-1-common linux-headers-3.2.0-4-all linux-headers-3.6-trunk-rpi

I try install 3.12-1, so I got folder for 3.12-1 containing build folder.
In my makefile I force to use build folder for 3.12-1 kernel, it correctly compiles driver but when loading .ko file my Pi crashes.
So, how can I get build folder for my kernel?
Thanks.

Use rpi-source. That picks up the git commit ID from /boot/.firmware_revision and downloads the matching source and headers for you.
