It works really well for local media (on your network) and live TV (thats my main usage). Don't expect too many add-ons to work (but the few I have installed do work). There's still a problem with the youtube add-on: If you stop a youtube video it stops playing, but the stream doesn't stop, which looks like kodi is hanging (but it isn't). Workaround: move the slider to (almost) the end of the video and let it finish. But otherwise the youtube plug-in works well.Kodi Configuration:

Did you install cec-utils from the repository? This versions uses libcec2 and not libcec3.bucker wrote:Hi, i just installed your build, however CEC isn't working for me. I installed everything like the instruction in the first post, any clues on how i can make it work again?
Edit: nvm, i just reinstalled cec-utils and is now working again. Thanks!
Code: Select all
sudo ./install_cec3 sudo ln -s /usr/bin/cecc-client-3.0.0 /usr/bin/cecc-client sudo ln -s /usr/bin/cec-client-3.0.0 /usr/bin/cec-client
There's a setting for mouse refresh during video playback. By default it's 20 frames/sec.Chateaudur wrote:Thanks for the build and explanations, that's awesome for noobs like me.
It's been working pretty well here, I just notice that the mouse cursor is very laggy when playing a video, but not when the menu is displayed over the video (still playing). Strange. Appart from that, it's awesome to be able to go back to Raspbian without losing mouse & keyboard or having to hard-reboot and damaging the SDcard.
Thanks a ton! Looking forward to the next updates

will be available soon (and using openssl).
Did you get a kodi 14.2 version while updating?Chateaudur wrote:Thanks again for keeping everything nice and up to date
Quick question though, I've run apt-get update / upgrade yesterday before installing 15rc1, and then startkodi didn't work anymore (I got a weird .cpp file error).
So I rolled back to a previous state with Beta2 and I've updated to Kodi RC1 following this topic. Everything's fine now, but I'm wondering what's gonna happen if I retry to update/upgrade now? Is startkodi gonna be broken again.
kodu 14.2 is now in the Foundation repository, but I'm not sure, if it also contains the newer libtag and cec-client versions.Chateaudur wrote:I don't even know, I know the update found Kodi, but was it from Michael's repository? (14.2) or 15rc1, I do not know, I'm just wondering if I should remove the repository for 14.2? (Not sure how to do that)
Hi, I've just registered to ask the very same question.Mxx20 wrote:I don't know if this is related but I'm trying to use iptv simple client and it won't run, any one else has run into this issue

It appears to not be included in this build.
I've been searching for hours to find a workaround, but nothing seems to work.
If you find anything, let me know please. (I will do the same, if I find something.)
Thanks for the information. I'll create a new version within a week or two.SB2020 wrote:I just installed this as the crash on exit annoyed me. It works!
On first launch, it advised RC2 is available. I see it was only a few hours ago, could this be compiled and made available?
Thanks, gkreidl. Good work
Your sig makes me want to ask: is there a browser that will run within Kodi?
