poor hdmi picture quality

Sat Mar 28, 2015 9:26 pm

Hello!
New to this world of raspberry, and this forum,

With raspbian installed,

Dependless of monitor, I have tried atleast 3, the picture on various resolution over the hdmi results in a kind of "pixelproblem"
wich results in poor picturequality
Please look at the printscreen,

Is there any way of update or do some other config to the graphic or the graphic driver?

Try a different HDMI cable.

Also try adding:

Code: Select all

framebuffer_depth=32
framebuffer_ignore_alpha=1
to your /boot/config.txt to enable 32-bit rather than 16-bit colour depth, and perhaps try different Antialiasing / Hinting settings for Fonts under Desktop Preferences?

On my TV, I noticed a similar problem that ended up being antialiasing on the TV. Computers do this already and the TV antialiasing does not work well with text content. It seems to conflict with computer antialiasing too. Try to find a setting on your TV for this and disable it.
