Replicating raspi-config's appearance

Wed Feb 18, 2015 2:08 pm

Hello,

This may well be common knowledge in the right circles, but I have no idea how it's done & haven't had much luck searchig through this forum or the web in general.

As far as I can tell, the grey 'window' on a blue background displayed when you run raspi-config isn't a graphical display but some sort of command-line wizardry.

Can anyone explain how it's done and, more importantly, how I might make a similar user interface for my own programs?

Thank you.

raspi-config is a plain-text script. simply examine it with:

Code: Select all

less /usr/bin/raspi-config
