I like my RPI so much I wanted to be able to develop for it when I was on other machines. I made a bootable USB drive, and it runs really well on 2 different machines, with one big issue.
I can write C code, save it, compile it with gcc, and then run the program I wrote. Awesome, however, when I exit to close down the machine, the files, both source and executable, I just made and saved are gone.
I always select @Run with persistence@. Which brings up a related issue, settings aren't saved either. Every time I boot into Raspbian my keyboard goes to UK mode, and my WiFi password is forgotten. I made a couple searches here and couldn't find anything helpful for these concerns.
