BlueTooth V4.0 dongle for RPi

Fri Aug 30, 2013 9:08 am

Hi,

I'm Ulrich starting sensor network project using RPi, I need BT LE dongle for my application and plan to buy LM506 device.
Does anyone can confirm (or not) that LM506 BT V4.0 nano USB dongle using BCM20702 is working with Raspberry Pi?
Thanks for your support
Regards
Ulrich

This is the most recent list: http://elinux.org/RPi_USB_Bluetooth_adapters

Did you have any luck with this? Looking at ordering an LM506 myself.

LM506 is ok for me, compatible with Bluez -I've used it to connect my PS3 controller for Retropie and it works very well
I've checked before on the eLinux.org list but it looks far from complete since I've found other devices which are compatible as well (you need to check if bluez or linux is supported on the vendor manual)

I do have the LM506 and it is working well.

I'am able to connect to my wife fitbit force which is bluetooth LE.

Hi, I also considering this LM506 and my specific requirement is to be able to use this dongle on something like Raspi Zero, and able to have GATT profile to talk to Android phone, at the same time playing music using A2DP to a bluetooth headset. Can anyone kindly give pointer if that is possible and perhaps a project having similar requirement.
