iiyama T2452MTS Touch Screen

Tue Jan 22, 2013 3:03 pm

Hi everyone,

Havent used Linux in a while and using the Pi as an excuse to get back into the swing of things. At the moment I am trying to get my touchscreen monitor working with the Pi. I have a iiyama ProLite T2452MTS. But when plugged in the lsusb lists it as:
Pixart Imaging, Inc
I also tried connecting in my iiyama ProLite T2250MTS and this works instantly with the Pi including the touch screen. lsusb shows this screen as:
Quanta Computer, Inc. Optical Touch Screen
Does anyone know any driver or package that might help my Pi detect the TouchScreen on the T2452MTS?

Thanks in advance

Hi Ray,

did you managed your Problem with the Iiyama T2452MTS?
Or does anyone else have this screen running on a PI?
I'm planning to buy one of these too, but if it's not working with the PI, I better buy an other Monitor.

Hi there,

Yeah the latest version of Rasbian comes with the needed driver now, so the screen is working for me.

Goodluck with yours!

This is great news, I have been looking for a large touchscreen that will work with the Pi for weeks.

Could you elaborate on 'works' - does it just replace a mouse. From the Python (patricularly Tkinter) programming point of view is the API just that of a mouse or will a special API be required. I want to be able to provide a touchscreen interface for Pi Presents and all I need is point and click.

Has anyone had success with a smaller HDMI touchscreen, say 17 or 19 inch.
