Digital Photo Frame

Sorry for what may be a very silly question... but would it be possible to use a Kodak P725 Digital photo frame as a screen for the R-Pi (in some capacity).

I found one in our loft and was dismayed to discover it only has SD/CF/USB inputs. My electronics skills are very rusty and I wasn't sure if there could be a way to hack it!

Probably not...the refresh rate on most digital photo frames is slow and would make using it for a display problematic.

If you have time, give it a try. These screens are also LCD based. If the electronics does not limit the refresh rate, there should not be a reason for it to respond slowly.

Even if it is slow, you can use it to show weather forecasts, time, reminders and many other things that are not so dynamic.

Just make sure to have a good power supply for the RPi as the screen may load the USB port.

Well its still on my desk at the mo but I'm not sure how I would get it to interface with the Pi as its only got a USB port (and removable memory) ?
