Vidéo HD

I just installed on my card Raspian raspberry and B + XBMC but I do not play my avi and mepeg4 video, only the sound work?
I do not understand as I had read that it was possible to play HD video with this card!

If your not seeing video, but have sound you may have to buy codecs ;) . I had the same problem and this solved for me. There should be a link on the main Raspberry Pi page.

I just bought and installed MPEG2 codecs and WVC1 but I still have no picture with XBMC I do not know what to do!

What do you see? Just a black screen or anything else?
Does the video play on a different computer?

There are still colour depths, data rates, and formats that the pi can't play even if you have the two extra codecs. 10-bit colour is one that comes to mind.

With XBMC I only see an inclined grid that turns on itself, sometimes a window appears in the bottom right with a picture of the beginning of the video!
I installed VLC and there I see a picture of the beginning of the video without sound!

I have no problem to watch this video on my windows 7 computer.

install mediainfo and run
mediainfo pathtovideo
