Media Server Playback

I use one of my Pies (is that the plural) as a media and web server. I use minidlna as my media server and it works great but I'd like to be able to start watching a program on one TV then continue from the same place on a different TV.

Anyone any ideas how this might be achieved?

Not all my media players are xbmc but two of them are so I'll give that a try.
