Recover 16GB SD Card

I made the mistake of writing the Linix image to a 16GB card and finished up with 14 gigs unused.

So I have now written it to a 2GB and all is well. But I have a 16GB Card I want to turn back into a 16 card rather than the 75MB my PC thinks it is.

Does anyone have any advice for recovering the card and making it 16MB?

Does that always work? I know that it should, but I know that a lot of systems get confused by partitioning and may not be smart enough to re-write the partition table as well as doing the formatting.

Anyway, the best answer to the OP is to read and follow any of the 40 katrillion threads on this board that tell you how to "extend" your partition, so that you can use the 16G card in the Pi (and be able to use all 16G from Linux on the Pi).

I can remove the 2 other partitions, so I have 75megs and 15Gigs of unused. But I cannot get it to do a 16Gig format.

But yes, a SAMSUNG digital camera did it.

The first 2 I tried did not, but the samsung did.
