Be careful when buying a PSU/charger to power your Pi. Don't think you are saving money by buying a cheap one.

Basically don't buy power supplies from ebay, amazon marketplace, alibaba and so-on.

Good advice.

I bought a really good one (works great with the Pi!) at Walgreens, for $10.

I would also add market stalls and small independent phone shops to the list.

I recently bought two NOOK HD+ chargers, they were on offer from B&N, and were £5 each, free delivery. They have the capacity to run a Pi IIRC. Seem very good quality, and a good price. This is the HD+ one, so has an odd cable - later NOOKS use uUSB, but not sure of their capacity.
