Desktop Cross compile for Raspberry Pi

Mon May 19, 2014 4:34 pm

We start with a system that already has Ubuntu Desktop installed. It does not matter if it is a 32- bit or 64-bit installation however it must be version 1 2.04.2, 1 2.1 0 or 1 3.04.
why it has to be Ubuntu and those version?
It cannot be red hat or others?

Because the writer of the tutorial doesn't "know" or doesn't want
to support other distros. Chances are that the tutorial works
to a certain degree on any distro , but then a step fails and the
author would have to check why that fails and how to solve
it ...

• Don't like the board ? Missing features ? Change to the prosilver theme ! You can find it in your settings.
• Don't like to search the forum BEFORE posting 'cos it's useless ? Try googling : yoursearchtermshere site:raspberrypi.org
