would it be possible to have production boards fit to a standard case?

http://www.polycase.com/kt-35 family wont hold a credit card but they are inexpensive.

Probably not - ports! We'll be developing a case as soon as we can after launch, though, and I can promise you that keeping the cost of that case as low as possible (while having it not be *totally* hideous) is at the top of our list of priorities. For the case, that is. As you can imagine, the Raspberry Pi team's got an *awfully long* list of priorities at the moment...

It doesn't matter if they are hideous, wait 10 years and they become vintage. Look at shell suits or a DeLorean.

We hope not to have any of the flammability issues of shellsuits, nor any of the oxidises-and-falls-apart issues of the DeLorean. Mr Fusion would be a nice addition, though.

I never stopped Jimmi hendrix when his equipment was on fire ;) .

Plus they are still seen as iconic of an era.
