I didn't know about KitsnSpares at that time.

After months of waiting, element14 mailed me the link for buying raspberry pi through their website but there is no option for purchase (I think I need to register before that).

The register option requires the Sales Tax no. and I am an individual ....(FUUU element14).
What do I do now? Please help..
I do not want to end up waiting again for months.
You can enter some random number or just order it from KitsnSpares, both are the same company's site. Anyway it will be delivered only in August or so.

I know few guys who ordered from element14 India / Kitnspares in the first week of launch and who received their Pi about 2 weeks back.

If you order now, you probably won't get it until August or so.

Well, I ordered a Belkin 4 Port Powered USB Hub from FutureBazaar today -- http://www.futurebazaar.com/belkin-f4u0 ... /pd/74935/ (Use the code WOWFB to get Rs 150 off :P)

For the HDMI --> DVI Adapter you can check eBay -- http://www.ebay.in/sch/i.html?_from=R40 ... Categories
Sorry for pestering you again but I wanted to ask whether the hub worked with the pi or not.
And if it did could you please suggest another trust able site from where I can order as Future Bazaar probably sold out..

I think 7-port would be a little too much for my needs.
Do you think indiaplaza are selling the same model. I'm being picky because I've heard the Pi is kinda picky with hubs :P
Oh, and since this is powered I'll need another wall socket for this, right?

Its just a hub right, it should be fine!

You only need one socket for the hub, you can attach the RPi power cable to one of the USB ports on the hub itself! :P

[quote="varkey"]Its just a hub right, it should be fine!

I'm installing a Pi alongside a Powered Hub, a Picaxe board and another 5V board: So that they all power up together I'll be using a multi-drop Power cable (eg Maplin: 1 socket and 6 matching 2.1mm power plugs)
I'll either use a 2.1mm to MicroUSB charger's adapter plug, or rewiring a cable The Hub power supply has a 3A rating so should prove adequate for the above, a keyboard, nouse and Velleman 8055 I/F board

Actually,I saw this on the wiki and thought I should get the same model as yours and 500 bucks was a decent price for it.
I also wanted that 4-port hub as it would be compact enough.

Indiaplaza don't mention exact model no. and on futurebazaar the belkin 7-port's model no. isn't listed. What should I do :?:

Hey Guys,

I recently came to know about Raspberry Pi and want to have it.

I went to https://in.rsdelivers.com and created the order. The total amount is Rs. 2400

..but I dont see any option of custom etc...also I can see that there is an option of Cash on Delivery...

I am not sure what to do..Should I select COD or pay online?

Hey everyone,

Just want to update.

I sent an email to https://in.rsdelivers.com support and I got a call from them within few mins.

So the price will be Rs. 2400 + 13% tax = Rs. 2712 (and we can pay by Cash on Delivery)

...but the main problem is that the delivery cannot be made before November.

I have tried for three months to place an order for Raspberry Pi. Not successful. But while searching I found a dual core 1.6 GHz USB mini computer with HDMI for 50 dollars and promptly placed the order. The supplier is from mainland China. http://www.aliexpress.com/item/New-dual ... 61168.html

I ordered the PI for in.rsdelivers.com on December'2012, I called them about the delivery dates, they comfirmed that it would be around 3rd week of JAN'2013.

Looking other post, I thought this was fair enought. I called them last week for further details, they said they had already shipped the PI. I had asked on COD basis, so was expecting there call, and was happy with the prompt reply from them. I was given a docket number of a courier company.

I tracked it... and to my horror found that they had shipped in 3rd week of December, and was returned back due to erroneous address that they had put on the courier.

I had already informed them, when they sent me the proforma invoice, that address on the invoice is incomplete. I mailed all of there mail ID's and was later told that this will be shipped today.

Hope I get it, and I embark on journey with PI for new learnings.

Regards,
Tomsoulsurfer :D

Still not received. Got a call and mail from Sales team of RSINDIA... informing that it would be shipped by bluedart....again got a call from logistic guys... asking the same questions again.

Even the mails are marked to all, its of no use I guess. They are not in sync I guess.
