Touch screen problems

Fri Mar 21, 2014 2:18 pm

I just received my Tontec 7" Raspberry Pi LCD Touch Screen Display TFT Monitor AT070TN90 with Touchscreen Kit HDMI VGA Input Driver Board that I purchased off Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HNL ... UTF8&psc=1)

The TFT Monitor display works great, first try no problems.

However for the life of me I can't get the Touchscreen part to work. I plug in the Touchscreen control board to the USB port of the Raspberry Pi and the only thing that happens is the little green LED on the touchscreen board lights but I can't get the touchscreen to actually move the cursor or open programs, its like it doesn't exist.

Thanks
George

Hi,
well you live and learn, but I would of done the research before purchasing. Have you read the 2 reviews on the link you posted?
You're not the only one with the problem.
Sorry I can't be of any help.

Actually yes I did, one guy had problems while another guy had no problems.

I would have gone with the 2.8" you mentioned at the bottom of your reply but my project requires something larger. Can someone suggest something between closer to 7" w/touchscreen that is easy to interface with the the Raspberry Pi? I wouldn't want to go much below a 4" display.

Thanks
George
