I am interested in the potential of using a Raspberry Pi for a remote monitoring station. The station will measure temperature and air pressure and maybe a few other things. It will be powered off some deep cycle batteries trickle charged via solar panels.
Here is the rub: I want to get updates from the RasPi wirelessly (text message?) and perhaps be able to remote into it. Cell reception is spotty but if I could get a signal what are my options? If I can’t get a cell signal what are my options?
I’m sure this has come up before but I’m not sure what to search under.
