GPIO single pin connectors

I've been trying to source single socket connectors for wires to go from GPIO to breadboard, or anywhere else. I can get multi-way connectors for the GPIO but I just want single ones so I can have a selection of wires and connect to which ever pins I am using. I don't want while GPIO connector with ribbon cable and then have to sort out which wires I need and secure the others out of the way any time I want to use it.
I perfectly capable of crimping metal bit on to wire and putting housing on. The trouble is I can't find the housing as single ones anywhere. Anyone know any suppliers or manufacturers part numbers?

Anyone got a source of a decent, affordable crimping tool and some crimps?

That looks like the sort of thing Redhawk, but there's no spec given. There various different sizes of connectors so I'm not sure those are the ones. I'd also prefer a more regular supplier, the sort that has a definite price and sells them immediately.
Scotty, crimping tools are always on the expensive side. If you're only doing a few use pliers and small screwdrivers to bend the crimps around. CPC have the crimp connectors and tools. They're around page 1570 in the online catalogue. I'll be looking for cheaper crimping tools so I'll post here if I find one.

The standard Dupont wires come in bundles of 40 or so.
You simply pull the wires apart like 'string cheese' to get single wire connectors. Or separate into what ever number of wires you need 2, 3, 4, 6, etc.
I bought a set of 40 each of M-M, M-F and F-F.
Go on Ebay and search [dupont connector]. You will get dozens of hits for the Dupont wires, crimp ends, crimp tools etc etc.

Hi
I found that old motherboards have quite a few single and double sockets, and I removed a switch and 2 LED's.
The speaker connector is sometimes a 4 way with only 2 used.
So I recycle as cheaply as I can.

Thanks Joan, just the thing.
John, I have already stripped an old motherboard, a monitor (including a load of components) an I'm about to start on my old printer and video recorder. But singles are hard to come by.

Hi
True, but for an LED you do need 2.

Indeed but not every GPIO output pin is next to Ground so 2 pin connectors are not always useful.
