I haven't tried XP but I have booted NT4 using Qemu. :)

I wouldn't get your hopes up though speed wise Intel emulation on the PI ARM is chronically slow to the point of being pointless.

Edit: okay I understand I got the wrong end of the stick usually people asking about Qemu want to run Windows not Pi in an emulator.
Anyway the following link has Qemu with Pi image - http://sourceforge.net/projects/rpiqemuwindows/

The way I understood it was that the question is whether you can emulate the pi on windows XP, rather tun run windows XP on the pi in QEMU.

I understood it that way too, and endorse your reply - yes, at least 2 people have.

Does the link that has been posted not work for you? If you want a second opinion you could try -

The only problem with the Xec Design qemu kernel is that it is so old - 3.6.x from six months ago.

If I understood enough about how qemu worked I'd have a go at building a 3.10.30 kernel for it.

Actually off topic, but:
"Tip of the day: Learn to touch type - it will save you 17 whole months of your life."

I strongly discourage this: if you are a programmer you would just have wasted close to 16 YEARS of your life. Ponder away with three or four fingers, you know where the keys are, eventually, just make sure you write what you mean. Like in speech:I tend to hire people who really weigh their words ;-0

<offtopic> I am empirical proof.

I worked with a German fella at NatWest bank one morning he'd installed a typing tutor program on everyone's OS/2 desktop and spent half a day encouraging us to try it. A few of us got to 67WPM. That has done me more good than anything else. I can still touch type now.

The modern keyboards are horrible compared to what we had 25 years ago, but I'd still encourage everyone to give touch typing a second glance.</offtopic>

Now back to qemu.

Hi. I did not mean the 'yes' in a snarky way, there was just not enough information in the question to go on. You didn't mention what you have tried or what problems you have had.

I recommend the xecdesign tutorial, but I may be biased, since I wrote it.

What makes you say that? I recompile the kernel whenever someone asks me to bump up the version. It's currently 3.10.something.

Thanks

I found a link that wanted me to install a backdoor TAP32 and bridge my network.

So I started to alter the bat file to no use whatsoever.

May be your link will link some of my brain cells and get a result.
