WAN Miniport

I connected the Rasperry Pi to a router. My main computer is also connected to this router. This way I communicate with the Pi.
My main computer connects to the internet using a WAN Miniport (PPPOE).
I want the Rasperry Pi to also connect using this technique to the internet, fetch the current time and then disconnect again.
How to do that?
I am using Wheezy.
