Eye-tracker + Raspberry Pi

Wed Jan 29, 2014 8:50 pm

Hello Friends,

I am new to this field and recently got an eye-tracker to build an application. Is it possible to connect my eye-tracker (https://theeyetribe.com/products/) to Raspberry Pi using the USB port provided? (It can connect to normal laptops via USB 3.0)

But can I replace my laptop completely with Raspberry Pi and run the application on it instead?

Thanks,

A glance at the FAQ in question reveals it runs only on Windows USB 3.0 and later on OS X.

The RPi has USB 2.0 and since the faq states the device is 'optimized' for 3.0 you should expect some problems. But without the drivers and an api from theeyetribe it would turn into a reverse engineering problem (generally non-trivial).
Any conversation about a sufficiently complex subject is indistinguishable from babble.
