Could'n't connect to update server.

Hi, I am very new to this. I have yet to get to the configuration page for my pi. I have had many attempts to get my pi up for the first time but I get a page saying that I couldn't connect to the update server... Before any of this happens, the scripts are running just fine until it says about 10 times: Network Interface wait 8 seconds.

Can anybody help me please???!!!

Do you have an ethernet cable connected from your Raspberry Pi to your internet hub? You'll need this for the install even if you want to run WiFi ultimately.

Thanks for the quick response. I will try this. I have heard that I can share my windows 8 laptop's wifi connection via ethernet with the rp. Do you know if I have to enable anything to share the connection?
