HELP! I can hear sound but video wont play

Today i purchased MPEG-2 and VC-1 licences for my pi, and have verified that they enabled. I can play wmv files now however i still cant play some avi files.(I can hear the sound but the video wont play)
Could someone please point out whats wrong with these files? should i convert them (i really don't want to do that) or should the pi be able to play these files. Any help is greatly appreciated. :D

I don't think those particular formats are supported- they are non-standard Microsoft specific ones, but Dom will have a better idea.

Yes, DivX 3 is not MPEG-4 compliant. You will need to transcode it.
I believe DivX 4 and later (and all XviD version) are MPEG-4 complaint and will play.

Green normally indicates that the UV channels are zero. Remember that they are normally measured -0.5 to +0.5, so 0 is in effect 128 (in 0p8 terms). So put 128 in to the YUV channels and see what happens.

jamesh could you recommend a freeware program to change the YUV channel? I cant seem to find anything :roll:
