interfacing a software defined radio to the rpi

Has anybody interfaced a SDR via a USB port to the RPI and what software did you use?

I have been running rtl-tcp on my Pi (model B) with hardwired ethernet connection for some months without problems.

The Pi can run rtl-fm and tune an rtl-sdr to a single frequency in wfm or narrow fm and it can even scan a number of frequencies.

The Pi is now in use for a smart meter project so no longer works as sdr.
