Sure - no problem. Stylish again - add this to the CSS above:

Code: Select all

.jumpbox {display: block; position: fixed; top: 15px;  left: 300px; z-index: 1040;}

OK - so having read through this I've got a couple of thoughts:
1. @RPF - Well done! Don't worry, there will always be some people that are never happy
2. I like the new forum look & feel - no issue with the colour
3. A few functional issues (which I'm sure will be addressed in time)
a) breadcrumbs would be great. As would a 'Jump To' dropdown
b) When viewing list of posts I can't see which ones I've subscribed to/am watching
c) When viewing list of posts I can't see when a thread was started, only when it was last posted in

Otherwise, great job!!

For those people using the prosilver theme, could the logo link go to the main blog page instead of the forum top? There's already a Board index link.
Also, could an alias be put in so going to http://www.raspberrypi.org/forums takes us to this new forum? Every now and then, I need to type in the address, and phpBB3 is rather difficult to remember, especially since it's case sensitive.

Hopefully these are minor adjustments. After all, I try to consider what I'm paying for the service.
Thanks.

I like the new layout (switched to Prosilver) and the general feel is pretty good. :)

As I can't go back to prove it - are links to external pages now only opened in the same browser tab? I seem to remember they opened in a different tab on the old forum (HTML "Target=erewhon") Firefox 12 on Win 7. I I could be wrong however! :oops:

From what I remember they would open in the same tab - I always had to Ctrl + click to force them to a new tab?

Can i request that the ability to print the forums is looked at.

the print layout appears to use a lot of paper - a single page of comments takes about 14 pages!!! the header alone is 1 page.

i don;t know phpbb, but i guess there is some way to add a print style sheet? this would be good for the new website as well - printed interfaces can be easily forgotten when designing a site!

thanks.

Seems to be something funny happening with the formatting in this thread http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewt ... f=2&t=4076
Notice how towards the bottom of the first page, the "poster info" box suddenly jumps left-wards :?

Hmmm - I suppose right-click "open in new tab" is simple enough, but when one gets excited by a link.....(Now on IE10 on Win8!)

A possible fix for images being squished.

In "/styles/raspite/theme/stylesheet.css", change this:

Code: Select all

.postbody img {
	max-width: 100%;
	max-height: 15em;
	height: auto;
	border: 0;
	margin: 0;
	clear: both;
}
To this:

Code: Select all

.postbody img {
	max-width: 670px;
	height: auto;
	border: 0;
	margin: 0;
	clear: both;
}
Note the lack of max-height and the new max-width value.

And if you have something like Stylish, you can fix this right now:

Code: Select all

@namespace url(http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml);

@-moz-document domain("raspberrypi.org") {
.postbody img {
	max-height: 99999px !important;
	max-width: 670px !important;
}
}
(This probably won't work in Chrome, so someone else can fix it to work there.)

First poster on 3rd page tried to embed a base64 encoded image in his post, and it exceeded the maximum character limit - that isn't really the fault of the theme designer :D

Another styling mini-bug ;)
With the raspite theme, there's no way to differentiate read and unread private messages.

And another one...
When looking at my profile http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/membe ... le&u=16371 I suspect my website is supposed to be a bit nearer to where it actually says "Website:" ? ;)

And the top-bar seems to go a bit 'crazy' on a reduced-width window

Maybe a mod should move this thread to http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewforum.php?f=25 :?:
