Re: new delivery of cases
I'd buy one!
Oh, actually, I already did. And very cool it looks too.
I'll buy another one when I get another Pi when more Pi's become available to order, sometime 2013?

Re: new delivery of cases
Seeing as we got off on the wrong foot a few weeks ago, and nmcc seems to like your case and also because it makes the raspi look like a little ORAC I just ordered one!
It was a toss up though between your case and this cheaper item...

Re: new delivery of cases
IIRC farnell have said that they will cancel the extra orders if people find ways to place more than one.

Re: new delivery of cases
I can only say the pics on ebay do not do this lovely case justice.
Mine arrived in the post this morning along with my replacement pi from farnell, took both from their packaging and proceeded to assemble in under 5 mins under the watchful eye of another soon to be pi owner – gave him my ebay link but alas none left so will have to let him know they are back.
BTW the guy that makes this case does some very useful usb addons etc so worth looking at the website – I am tempted to get the 4 port usb hub (its smaller than an A plug) and the servo controller to have a play with. Also this case has holes drilled in the bottom side to mount this additional ports etc.

I really like the look of this case, mainly as it "ticks the boxes" of (a) being transparent and (b) incorporating the RasPi logo, both of which are features I'd like in a Pi enclosure
My main concern (if that's not too strong a word) with these open-sided cases, is whether they provide enough reinforcement for the various connectors on the RasPi board, when you're plugging and unplugging cables? (That said, I'm not even sure if the enclosed-type cases do that either.)
This is definitely a case I'll be looking at seriously... and my Pi is due to arrive any day now

Re: new delivery of cases
Very nice - now what you need to do is have the ability to plug 2 cases together to have 2 pi's one on top of the other ...

Re: new delivery of cases
That looks very nice. Once I saw mooman's photo I had to have one. I think you rather confuse the issue by adding in another product in your ebay shots. It looks much nicer without the extra usb bits.

Commission please
However "thexman" feel free to put my image in your ebay listing, there is another post on the forum by the makers of this case that does show it without their additional boards attached. From this other post they also mentioned the black uprights have changed from plastic to brass/nickel - can you confirm this is the case on your latest batch?

Holds mine sturdily enough and I was concerned about holding my Pi whilst pulling & pushing cables in & out.
(That said, I'm not even sure if the enclosed-type cases do that either.)
I can't see that they would - in fact because of the way these cases use supports to hold the Pi in place I suspect they may be better.

I got it from an ebay seller from Belgium. They aren't selling it any more on eBay(I don't think) but have plans to sell direct from their website in the near future alongside a few other bits. I've a few other samples coming from the same seller to test out different types of acrylic(thickness, finish and colour).

Maybe that's why I want a transparent RPi case so much - especially if I can make mine produce the same sound Orac made when he/it was operational...

Thanks for the info I hope these folks make that RPi case available again (and affordable), because if they do, I think they have another customer... it's either that or the "Yoctopuce".
And shortly, I'm off home, where I understand my RPi is waiting

I will probably get my case before my Pi. I wonder what the best case scenario is?
