camera board uv4l driver

Thu Sep 19, 2013 10:48 am

Hi all

I'm having problems with uv4l driver installation. I'm following the instructions shown here:

http://www.linux-projects.org/modules/s ... e&artid=14

Everything seems fine until "apt-get install" command, then packages can't be found.

Here is my sources.list file:

Code: Select all

deb http://mirrordirector.raspbian.org/raspbian/ wheezy main contrib non-free rpi
deb http://www.linux-projects.org/listing/uv4l_repo/raspbian/ wheezy main
And here is my console logs:

Code: Select all

pi@raspberrypi ~ $ wget http://www.linux-projects.org/listing/uv4l_repo/lrkey.asc && sudo apt-key add ./lrkey.asc

sudo apt-cache search uv4l

I cant see anything wrong with your repo-setup, but still it seems that apt har not picked up on the new uv4l packages.

You can download them manually from http://www.linux-projects.org/listing/u ... ol/main/u/ and install them with:

Code: Select all

dpkg -i filename.deb
but that is not the preferred method.

No, that should not have any effect. I update most of my Linux computers remotely over ssh.

I've tried the same, but it still seems not to be working as described (using apt-get)
I managed to download using the given URL, but got his error when unpacking:

I'm having exactly the same problem: Unable to locate package uv4l.
Since the last update to this string was in February, did you find a solution? Can you post it for everyone else to see?
Thanks!

You have to configure apt-get to read from the linux-projects repo before you apt-get uv4l.

Full instructions here:

Make sure you issue a sudo apt-get update after updating the sources.list and before installing the packages
