Ok, I'm trying it. If it stops my Pi working, you'd better find a way to delete it! (PS: I have another SD card with raspbian to help with deleting is neccessary).ric96 wrote:http://kb.gosi.at/content/43/141/en/how ... pbian.html

Oh, cool! I'm going to give this a go as well, when I've got a moment - I've got a favourite geeky pic that I'd love to have as a splash-screen.ric96 wrote:http://kb.gosi.at/content/43/141/en/how ... pbian.html

Hopefully you made a backup, first, too?mrpi64 wrote:And, yes, I know that I could have installed it on the other Pi, but, ah well.
Sorry, it wont work. When I was just about to install it, I noticed that It installs an OpenGL Related Library. If the animation requires OpenGL, It will certainly not work on the Pi.LemmeFatale wrote:Oh, cool! The instructions linked to by ric96 clearly refer only to still PNG images.mrpi64 wrote:Sorry, it wont work. When I was just about to install it, I noticed that It installs an OpenGL Related Library. If the animation requires OpenGL, It will certainly not work on the Pi.
I think you must have done something wrongmrpi64 wrote:Sorry, it wont work. When I was just about to install it, I noticed that It installs an OpenGL Related Library. If the animation requires OpenGL, It will certainly not work on the Pi.
Code: Select all

[snip]Like most instructions/software you find on the internet, you follow/install them at your own risk. It's your own responsibility to make backups etc. and if you're doing it on a system which you can't afford to trash, then you shouldn't be experimenting on it in the first place. All IMHOmrpi64 wrote:Ok, I'm trying it. If it stops my Pi working, you'd better find a way to delete it!
I'm should have the time to give it a go tonight, with any luck. I'll post back with confirmation (or not), when I do, if no-one else beats me to it.omega1 wrote:Can anyone confirm the instructions in the link work?
