A real Noob question - how do I access the terminal when I'm using RaspBMC?

Is there a terminal window?

Help!

There is probably not one that you can access with your connected keyboard and display. But you *can* log in via SSH over the network from another computer.

More info at the official site:

Thanks TopGuy.

The problem that I want to solve is a network failure. I have no wifi and cannot use an ethernet cable. So SSH is not a solution for now.

Press ESC during boot.

Edit: Does not work on OpenElec

With Raspbmc running exit xbmc from the shutdown menu (choose Exit, not shutdown) at the blue screen press Esc you will be greeted with a login prompt, default user/pass is pi/raspberry

There is (or maybe WAS) a glitch that, when you logged off, you were taken to the terminal. That was some time ago, they have probably fixed it though...

Thanks everyone for your help.

I do think the RaspBMC developers could make terminal access more obvious.
