I would think that the OVERWHELMING advice should be clear by now – your chances of getting a Class 10 card to work are very very very slim.
Stick to Class 6 or even better Class 4 cards – they're cheaper and seem to have a much much greater success rate. And I don't understand why people are buying very large cards either (greater than 4Gb) – use a separate USB drive for big stuff and have it mounted in a standard way / mount point on all your images. Linux doesn't suffer the M$ bloat nowhere near as bad.
And when you start to have to manage SD card images you're going to get fed up moving such large images around an a separate PC/Laptop… just my thoughts on SD card management….
And they are just thoughts at the moment, I'm still at Pi-Day-minus-11 at the moment (sob, sob)
