Hello,
Did anyone try to use Chrome (or Chromium) on Raspberry Pi?

Chrome is quite memory consuming, so it probably won't work very smooth. I installed 2GB of memory in my netbook so I could run chrome smoothly.

Not yet. Might try this weekend, if there is an Arm version available. Don't have time to get it compiling myself....

My mom's computer runs chrome very smoothly and her computer only has 0.5 GB of RAM. Chrome only uses 2GB if you have a bazillion tabs open.

Chrome will run poorly. Even raspi model B has only 256 MB RAM and some of this goes for the OS, framebuffer and what not. Chrome barely runs in 512 MB of its own memory area, you it will need at hefty swap device and this means it will be dog slow. Chrome is a poor choice for raspi.

I've tried chromium 6 (available in Debian repos for armel) and it seemed better than the IceWeasel for squeeze. Wheezy and Sid (the testing and unstable Debian repos) have a newer version of chromium, but unfortunately don't have it built for ARM. I did try to cross-compile using Google's instructions but ran in to some issues and decided to spend time on something more productive.
