Host DHPC from RPi similar to bootpd

Tue Jul 16, 2013 8:12 pm

Hello all,

As of now, I am using the bootpd application in Mac OSX to host a DHCP server on my Ethernet port. I can then plug the RPi directly into the Mac and VNC or SSH into it.

I am not able to find a way to do the reverse of this. I have set the Pi up in the past so that it configured as a Wireless Access Point. In this configuration I was not able to access the pi as if it were connected to the network ie. VNC/SSH and all that good stuff.

Is there something similar to bootpd (OSX) that I can use on RPi.

Thanks!
