Ones just gone for £205 on eBay and one listed with a starting price of £149 wasn't sold. There are "Buy it Nows" for under £200!

So while I'm chomping at the bit to get one, I'm not that desperate!

Yeah its pretty nuts, however a few people have been on here saying they need them ASAP in their field to get an head start over their competitors.

I guess thats pocket change in a commercial environment when some dev boards/emulators/logic analysers/scopes can cost tens of thousands. I know we've bought several in that price range where I work over the years.

Agreed, I may buy one on ebay if the price drops to where I consider it reasonable but there is no way i'm paying panda/IMX53QSB prices (or more) for a Pi.

I'd have liked to see a few hundred dumped on there by the foundation to provide funds to the foundation, not to scalpers

Hah! The one that didn't go at £149 has just been re-listed as a Buy it now - for £199.99!

Pretty sad, really. He'll sell it eventually though.

On the Positive side with these Ebay Sales:

There is/was one with a new photograph….

…and it appeared to show a Rapberry Pi Sticker or label was included !

(Larger than the previously-available keyboard sticker for obscurring the distorted 4-panel frame)

And some are making a contribution to charity from the profit/sale price (20-50% quoted)

But I havn't seen any T-shirts included in the offerings 8-(

That's a very reasonable idea but wouldn't it just cause cries of "they are selling my Pi!" from people who feel they have just missed out?

It would also make it difficult to separate the official sales from the unofficial ones.

The gripping hand could be that the contract with RS and Farnell prevents it.

From some original photos on ebay it appears the first tranche delivered have CSI, DSI and GPIO connectors fitted - Has there been a definitive answer on whether all future boards will include all those pre-fitted ?

If not to be pre-fitted in future it does give the initial tranche a certain extra potential value.

I haven't seen that anyone has got a T-shirt yet on the forum, let alone on eBay.

Perhaps the luckly first batch orders didn't get offered one?

I forgot to mentioned te size when I eventually placed my order with Farnell, so not sure if I,ll get one.

Yeah it is crazy, and quite a shame that the support isn't going to the RPF, however at least it does show that there is a lot of interest in the Pi!

Not really, it just shows that a handful of people are desperate to get their hands on a Pi and are prepared to pay crazy prices for one.

There aren't many other new technologies that people will pay 10 times their retail value to get a couple of months ahead... It's interesting either way you look at it :3

I can see the logic. Get one of the early ones and make a bit of extra on eBay, meanwhile order another for standard price, make profit, still get Pi.

There are almost certainly auctions where individuals do not yet have their ordered pi's but want to cash in the currently high prices and are listing "their" products. Expect to hear of buyers not getting their deliveries for many weeks and moaning to Ebay. Serve them right?
