Will this Belkin Hub work with my RPi Model B?

I'm only 14 so I am a noob, so I'm trying to keep costs to a minimal so if I screw things up it won't be too terrible. Anyways, I am wondering will this hub work without back feed to power the pi, a inland PGS keyboard/mouse, and a single usb hdd/ sata hdd converted drive? That hub does not show up in either the working or not working hubs so far reported.

Right, but I mean has anyone used the said hub and got it to work? I currently have a el cheapo 7 port inland hub which backfeeds so I decided not to use it, and I want to get some more trust able brand, which is why I want a belkin

You should really use a USB that has a DC power supply with it.
This one would probably work much better for you:

The one that the OP asked about DOES have a mains power supply - although it did not seem to say what it was rated at from a current perspective.

more often the problem is with the power supply that comes with the hub, than the hub itself. But even brand hubs can "back power". It back powers because it is designed to be used either with or without an external power supply, thus increasing the "sales chance" of the device, as it can be sold as both.
