Where is the CE marking?
It's on the documentation, you can see it here
Hmm, whats that "Warning" about maximum 500mA? (Can't read it all )
Can't we use a 1A USB adapter?
Reading here it says "..... enough current ~700mA ....."

That warning is most likely pointing out that the maximum current ONE internal usb port on a computer can provide is 500mA, and that you sould use a more powerful external source, such as a 1A adapter as you say.
It"s always good to buy a power source with a higher current rating than that"s needed, this way the power supply won"t fail or generate too much heat.
It"s the Voltage you have to be careful with, a higher voltage can fry your device fairly quickly. Never choose a power supply with a different voltage.

I ask the lucky ones who publish the RPI measures.
My (cheapo) digital micrometer says the PCB is 57.1mm x 85.7mm. Connectors obviously overhang, but I'm too busy using the Pi to measure all of those

The whole thing reads:
Warnings
This product shall only be connected to an external power supply rated at 5V dc, and a maximum current of 500mA. Any external power supply used with the Raspberry-Pi shall comply with the relevant regulations and standards applicable in the country of use.
This product should not be overclocked as this may make certain components very hot.
This product should be operated in a well ventilated environment and should not be covered.
This product should be placed on a stable, flat, non-conductive surface in use and should not be contacted by conductive items.
It's working fine for me with Huawei HW-050100B1W from a 3 branded E585 mifi which is rated as 5V 1A

No Pi yet!! USP Tracking still states "Out for Delivery" so I'm hoping it'll still arrive, but talk about taking it down to the wire!!

I don't believe that's the serial number as mine is also 888 (or so I've been told). The number underneath "SC888" looks suspiciously like a timestamp? Mine is 201203171122

I'm sure she will pay you back in ways you couldn't believe possible! I know my wife would if I asked her to stay in all day - for nothing.

Re: Delivery !
*jealous* I am honestly v pleased for you all who managed to get an order in on RPI day. (typed through somewhat gritted teeth)(if that is indeed possible, but you get the idea )

Well luckily my son actually picked up a nasty gastro bug yesterday, so technically she's not staying home for my Pi

Here's mine .
I forgot that I was having mine delivered to my home address, rather than work. Luckily UPS sent me an e-mail saying that I had the missed the delivery. Rang them up and collected the R-Pi from their Abingdon depot after work
