I don´t know very much about all that Linux and other OS Stuff, but Tiny Core Linux (http://distro.ibiblio.org/tiny.....lcome.html) or Damn Small Linux (http://www.damnsmalllinux.org/) also seem to have very low system requirements. Wouldn´t one of these also be an option for the RasPi?
