Pi as bluetooth speaker

Tue Jun 11, 2013 7:49 am

Hi all,

I'd like to make use of my Raspberry Pi as a Bluetooth audio receiver. So the scenario is that my tablet/phone connect to the Raspberry Pi via Bluetooth to stream audio (which is played by the speakers attached to the Pi). So basically I'd like the Pi to act as a Bluetooth speaker. (not Airplay because I have non-fruity devices :) ).

Does software like this exist?

Thanks!

As always you need to know what to search for, googling for "A2DP linux" brings up a few leads like this one
