Price: About the price of a Chinese takeaway!

Thu Jun 06, 2013 6:53 am

Ok, so i try to read most pi related media. (i`m a massive fan of fruit based computers) and i really love the innovative price descriptions: The price of a text book, a Chinese takeaway, 1/10 the price of a pair of headphones made by a doctor who i`m guessing has no PhD.

So i would like some innovative (or silly, mainly silly) price comparisons?
I assume I know what I`m talking about... I probably don`t

msmithy12,

I love the Raspberry Pi. The only problem is that half an hour after you have had one you feel like another one...:)

I also love fruit based computers: Raspberry, Tangerine, Apricot, Acorn. Can't stand Apple though.

An apple a day keeps the doctor away!

I put £75 of petrol in my tank today. A Pi is a third of a tank of petrol.

Must have very expensive Chinese takeaways or you buy for a lot of people. I usually fork out around £18 for 3 of us.

That is exceptionally cheap. CTA's around here are at least £20 for two (but I do eat sensible portions). Indian is cheaper.

I do live in the impoverished north.....

Prawn Crackers (usually thrown in in with our CTAs)
1 Portion of Spring Rolls to share
Chicken & Cashew nuts with chips
S & S king prawn with fried rice
1/4 Crispy duck (actually its more than £18 if we get Crispy Duck - its a bit pricey).
Egg foo Yung comes in on budget.
Enough left overs for a small lunch the day after with a bit of bread & butter.

Indian TAs are around the same price.
