Post on the main page. I was going to say something about this being a *really* Good Friday, but I think that might be a bit sacrilegious.

Congratz to the RasPi team!

Very impressive effort to get this done in such a small timeframe!

That was the news we have all been waiting for!

Well done, and congratulations to all those involved.

I am sure that both Farnell/Element 14 and RS Components will do all they can to complete the necessary final paperwork, so that shipping can commence!

It will be a case of "watch this space" I think!

Happy Easter everybody!

Thanks guys! We've been stressing out about the what-ifs all week so much that I've already started on Sunday's chocolate. It feels great.

Great news, The anticipation is building to fever pitch now.

I will probably have some sort of withdrawal when it finally comes as I won't need to check here and twitter obsessively anymore. Kind of like when an exam finishes or you pass a driving test.

Thanks to all involved.

Hmmm...  did you actually start on the chocolate last week and wrap all the test boards in silver paper from the Easter eggs? (Liz to test chappie:  "No, really, we have changed our name to the "Creme Egg Foundation" and are shipping them in purple foil cases.")

i just spit coffee all over my screen laughing and some went down my throat the wrong way so nearly choked to death but I can definitely see Liz doing that.

Congrats!

I'm also relieved to know I can rub the R-Pi on the cat's fur with no damage to the Pi and only mild consternation to the cat.
I sometimes ride my Pi to the Forum.

I've just rubbed my Pi on the cat and it died, can I get a refund?

Ooh ooh just thought, can I alter the clock frequency with a cat's whisker?

Congratulations to the R-Pi team!. I bet that was a nervous week. I hope you guys get to rest over the easter break, you've sure earned it. Hopefully this will be the last hurdle to R-Pis shipping to all the eager people. I am looking forward to posts on the forum from people who have had their order status updated to "Shipped", it's been great to follow the development of the R-Pi but now I can't wait to see what people do with it.

Doesn't that depend on whether your cat is still under warranty?

Brilliant news about the CE testing, well done (yet again) to all those involved.

I guess that is one less thing for the more negative members of the forum to whinge about, but not to worry, it wont take long for them to find something new to complain about.

They are easily startled but they'll soon be back, and in greater numbers."

If you can rub cat fur against a RPi then Mooncake will be very happy.

Tried to post this as a comment on the homepage, but your comment system wouldn't let me - kept insisting on the password even though I'd put it in. Anyway....

How was the ESD testing on a bare board done? I've never seen a microprocessor PCB that can take ESD direct to PCB tracks and device pins.

Congratulations, and well done in any case.
