Re: Trademark rules tpyos (sic)

Typos noticed:

b. space after 'Pi' before close quote in last line
g. no closing full stop
h/i. have double quote in place of closing '.'
i. "…license from Raspberry Pi" – missing word 'Foundation'? (Raspberry Pi is an adjective, not a noun. )

j. Is missing the "j."

It's probably a year too late in mandating "Raspberry Pi" as an adjective. It seems to be in general use, even in Eben's videos.

Slow morning. Bored. Edit for tpyo.

Yeah - we kind of agree on the adjectival thing. (Lawyers, eh?) Personally, I'm sticking to calling it a Raspberry Pi.

Lawyers who are awful at typing, it seems. Sorry I didn't check it; I think I made assumptions about whether there would be any typos in there and just pasted it out of another document without an extra check. Thanks for the spot - I'll go and fix.

Another typo:

i. license should be licence. You've got it right in the opening paragraph.

Course I did. That's because *I* typed the opening paragraph.

May I ask who your lawyers are?

I'm interested because UK/EU lawyers and trade mark attorneys usually write "trade mark" not "trademark". Maybe you are receiving advice from US attorneys made available via the Broadcom.

No need to answer if it's a secret.

In case others have not noticed, the trademark rules have been updated and the "Raspberry Pi is an adjective, not a noun" clause has gone; so we can go back to referring to the board / computer simply as "Raspberry Pi" without breaking the rules.

Thanks to whoever got that sorted out.
