Re: How about this for a case.

Been thinking about a case for when I finally get a PI. Still waiting for RS to email me.

so thought about re-using this case I had for an Espresso PC.

Don't know if I can get the touchpad to work.

That's not a case, it's a piece of plastic molded around a circuit board, rather ambitious I'd say..

(Not trying to shoot down your project, but you will see what I mean once you have your RPi, and that case cracked open next to eachother.)

It is a case, I have taken the case apart loads of times. First time was to put in a 40Gb hard drive.

probably an external harddrive case would work well??

You'd also have no use for the screen, I suppose. (that is a screen it has on the picture, isn't it?)

@Prodigit

Erh no that's why I said touchpad.

The original board had a 1Ghz cpu, ran windows 98 and had 512mB ram though you could have 1gb but as a sodim module it was quite expensive back then for the 1gb.I also ran Ubuntu on it for a while until the hard drive died.

I have also thought about using an external hard drive case too, as I have one of these spare.
