I've just put a post up on the front page about a webinar Eben's hosting for Element14 on April 4. You'll have to sign up to attend, and we hope to see some of you there!
And I promise that none of you finds the word "webinar" quite as offensive as I do. Some neologisms are great. "Webinar" is not one of them.

"Webinar" sounds like something a spider uses to detect incoming flies ...

Will it be recorded and put on youtube or something similar? I don't really feel like staying to 1am (my time) on a Wednesday.

Something over 400 already registered... I hope they are ready for the traffic this time. I haven't decided if I want to catch it live or browse it after the fact so that I can skip the borring stuff.

"Webinar" is more of a neoillogism (a new nonsense word -- clearly a self definition).
Re: Programming the Raspberry Pi: webinar with Eben, April 4
I was invited to one the other week but couldn't "go" as the word made me physically ill.
This could be good flooding therapy though

So are you people who think Webinar is an abomination ready to take up your positions being "cared for in the community", when British and American English cease to be dominant and the Asian English flavours take over?

Was there are real need to make it 'live'? Unless there is going to be some last minute additions, or as yet unreleased distro involved. As it is, most of us will miss the event due to it being aired during the normal working day, at least for Europe.
In any case lets hope it is made available online to download as soon after the event as possible.

It's live so that attendees (webinarians?) can ask Eben questions at the end. Element14 says it will be available for later download -- you'll probably need to sign up as an element14 member. Here's more information from element14.
