Hi
I want to make a system-disc on a USB-stick and just boot up from a smaller size SD-card
and been searching for a way to copy a 32Gb SD to a 8Gb SD but cant find anything here or when googling.
It will be a waist to use a 32Gb for just booting up and i got a samsung 8Gb,to big again but fast and reliable.

The easiest thing to do is just to copy the files.
Get both devices (the SD card and the flash drive) mounted, then use "cp -a" to copy from one to the other.

And some folks need to stop being fanboys and see the forest behind the trees.

Hi
I want to copy a 32Gb SD-card to a 8Gb SD-card first,then make a systemdisc on a usb-stick.
booting up from the SD and let the usb-stick take over.
Theres only about 5Mb of data on the 32Gb SD-card but rasperian had taken all 32GB.
Can I change the partitions, making it possible to copy to a smaller size SD-card?
Or do I have to download+install everything again?

Yes, it should "just work".
Note that on the Pi, there's really no such thing as a "system disk" (as there is on x86, running DOS, Windows, Linux, whatever). There's just files.

I use Mini-Tool Partition Wizard to do it under windows.
