From the Raspberry Pi Twitter feed :

Liz has taken the skiing equivalent of an arrow in the knee.

Ouch ! Hope you feel better soon Liz !

(later follow-up Tweets make it sound like it's painful, though nothing broken)

Hope the knee is better soon! x

I've also got an inch of ibuprofen gel rubbed into it, an IcyHot compress, an ice bag and a Margarita. And Aleve. Lots of Aleve.

Why do I now want to watch you rub gel on your raised legs?!  :)

Sorry... got distracted then.

I miss so much with the Twitter feed migrating down the page due to pressure from the sponsors...  And I'm NOT going to go to the Twitter site and start following people!  It'd make me feel like a stalker......

Liz:  Sorry to hear you've twonked your knee.  I assume its only to the side, as it were.  Never try bending it back to front - I did that and thought it didn't break, the joint has a disconcerting habit of semi-dislocating itself at inopportune moments...

it wouldn't have happened if she'd stayed home and worked on raspberry pi related things instead rather than sliding down mountains on two pieces of wood.

when did you last see skis made from wood?

Time to relax and read about something other than this forum … and try some fresh raspberry pi*s with custard and ice cream and clotted cream (if they have that in the states)

last week actually i was helping a friend clean out their garage and move it all to his lock up. 6 pairs of wooden skis, a personal sized JCB and 3 jack hammers.

Been a bit lax reading the forum this week as i've been helping out doing some Q&A and being the idiot they proof against for a friends web app and i HATE HATE HATE raspberries with or without clotted cream, custard or ice cream but I do have a can of ambrosia creamed rice and a bottle of ribena to mix in

Pausing to quell my heaving stomach

Blackcurrant JAM is ideal for mixing into rice pudding (both home made preferred, but shop bought acceptable) but RIBENA???  Ribena is for drinking hot when you come in with toes and fingers frozen to blocks of ice, but in rice pud?  Ewwwwww.....

I appreciate you may be improvising amongst the heathens, but still.....

Ewwwwww.....

Poor Liz! Get well really soon!

And keep off the snow in the future. In hospitals near skiing resorts they call the winter "fracture season" for a reason...
