Does anyone know if the release date of the Model A has been effected by manufacturing hiccup of the the Model B?

Since the Model A doesn't have a 802 port I'm hoping it's been moved forward.

That's not really what I wanted to hear. The Model A is more than powerful enough for what I want even if it did still only come with 128Mb of RAM.

That's a good point about the network port, unfortunately as I understand it the foundation wanted to do a beta build and test of that configuration (I guess there is little risk of anything bad, but always worth double checking these things - such is life it is the last place you look).

Also, there is a good chance that the ModelB factory will be maxed out (as long as there are no short term issues with the supply) so I hope they will use the ModelA production to bring another source online...

Not sure how the UK manufacture idea stands now that the RAM is doubled (demand is higher) and deals with RS/Farnell. ***runs for cover***

Guess we will wait and see.

[just my thoughts...by the way]

I have no idea. We are selling as many model B's as we can make, so not sure how Model A manufacture will get in there.

Model A will have 256Mb to.

The only differences between the two, is one less usb port and no ethernet port.

I think he is making the point that it might take longer for the A to come out if they are changing the spec to more ram - whether that is true or not I don't know

I don't think the RAM change make any difference to the time to market of the model A.

Makes the supply a bit easier, not having to source 128 and 256 memory modules?

True is no faster (or slower) to put either one on.
