help getting the right bridge

Mon Mar 11, 2013 3:13 pm

Hi, I would likfe if someone could enlighten ms as I'm new and struggling to understand the arduino and RaspberryPi bridge business. So what is the best Arduino - RaspberryPi bridge available in the market? I have come accross all sorts of boards. i currently have the seeeduino mega board and will be buying the raspberry Pi 512mb board. There are number of options and I am looking for the most elegant one for a learner. 1. RASPBERRY Pi Multifunction I/O Extension Board Then there is the AlaMode (http://blog.makezine.com/2012/12/12/new ... pberry-pi/) in the market. Sounds ok. It isa real Arduino, right? But it seems like it is a bit overkill as RPi is able perform GPIO. Finally, there is theRaspberry Pi to Arduino shields connection bridge (http://www.cooking-hacks.com/index.php/ ... ion-bridge) is another option, do you think so? What about the Gertboard? Please help?

I am surprised you got no responses. I have exactly the same questions you had and am wondering if you have tried out any of the available options? They are expensive compared to the pi, so it is good to find out how well they work before spending the money.
