14th May, but I didn't order until very late in the day after I discovered that the boards were going to be manufactured in the UK for future production runs.

Is that true? Are the boards that Farnell are producing coming from the UK, China or locally produced by country?

Just recieved another update from Farnell putting it back to late May.

That is now back 10+ weeks from the first confirmation date they gave me.

On the plus side it still says 2012!

Farnell = early May

RS = email from them on 1 March promising more news within 7 days. No such news yet. I think I successfully registered my interest with RS at about 06:01 on Wednesday so I'm hopeful that I might be a first-batch qualifier. No other members of the forum seem to be reporting any update from RS so my fingers are still crossed.

I've not heard anything else from RS either - didn't register with Farnell hoping that patience and getting in relatively early at RS before it crashed will be enough.

Interestingly they are saying their site will be down for maintenance over the weekend, with the lack of any further information I wonder if that is RPi related? Performance improvements from the crash or <pure rumour generation mode>preparing for something exciting on monday</exit wishful thinking mode>

I still haven't heard anything from Farnell since my initial email confirming a date of 12th March.

I'm going optimistically assume that I'm just that lucky

P.S.  Not sure if that's optimism or denial

My initial estimated delivery from Farnell of w/c 16/4/12 has now been pushed back to 14/5/12.  Not confident that this will be fulfilled...

Ordered with Farnell 04/03.

Looking down the barrel of 14/05...

Neither have I.  I'm going for optimism - those first 10k had to go to someone, and their delivery date is fairly firm.

Ordered 29th February @ 11:50 with Farnell/Element 14

Confirmed w/c 16/04/12

Pushed back to w/c 14/05/12

Looks like it may have been a mistake on the system pushing this back

Ordered 5 March on Element14 (Farnell)

Advised 14 May for Canadian delivery

The FAQ on their site regarding the error in advising a later date does go on to state:

"If you originally had an estimated delivery date in March or April, your delivery estimate is still as per the original communication."

http://www.element14.com/commu.....14RasPiFAQ

I didn't get an earlier date (March or April) so maybe it will be mid-May.

When I check the status of my order on their site it is still 14 May.

Having read through this a bit more I've noticed a lot of posts refer to different order statuses - by the sounds of things from different sites/partner sites.

For instance, I ordered from Farnell UK directly (not Element14), received an email confirmation with an estimated delivery w/c 12th March, without any updated email, but when IU log into the Farnell website my main order shows a status of 'Processing' and the RPi line status shows a status of 'Back order', without any indication of an expected delivery date at all.

Anyone else seeing this?

Same for me too. I have had no less than 5 e-mails postponing the date, the last one (which now was told to be faulty) to May 15th.

But it still annoys me that the status on the website still shows "processing" and doesn't show a date..

And even tho there is some 'dates', I have exactly 0 belief in them...

Still waiting for the infamous blog-post we have heard about for almost a week now, which hopefully will make things more clear...

I held back a bit until they got the pricing sorted out, so missed my early order window (but still wouldn't have been anywhere near the 1st 10k by the time I got on either site).  I've ordered from Farnell (rather than Element14) and got an email with a pdf order confirmation and a delivery date of w/c 4th June.  I'm still waiting for RS to actually accept orders, as I got an expression of interest in fairly early (but no idea where I am in the queue).

It strikes me that very few people are dependent on getting a Raspi.  Sure it will be good to have one in due course, but it won't do anything I can't already do.  The gain from a later delivery is that the distros should be sorted, together with a collection of apps, and that the early frustrations that a number of peeps will have will be ironed out.

I can't believe the patience of Liz and others in managing all the flack for the launch, particularly the inane questions from folk who haven't even read the previous tweet, never mind the blog, forums and wiki.  All power to the Pi!

Hi

Placed my order on 4 March with Farnell and I now have a delivery estimate of 14 May.

Ah well. Just have to be patient.

Hmm.. never had even an estimated delivery date from farnell.  I got the order acknowledgement and the online system says 'Back Order' but no dates.

Hi,

I know this is not an estimate arrival date, but some clues about Farnell"s stock.

Ordered one on Farnell on 03/03 after registering my interest on Farnell page on 29/02

Just received a mail from Farnell France that there are out of stock and they estimate the next delivery on week 23 (end of May).

EDIT : just received an acknowledgment, week 23 still mentioned (it is an approximated date they gave me).

Thx,

/Q

I ordered from Farnell on 3/3 in the afternoon and have an expected delivery of w/c 30/4. Have had no chance of ordering from RS as have had no offer to do so.
